Thank you for writing such a wonderful blog about a wonderful place. We are a group of Adventure lovers and undertake Trekking, Mountaineering and other adventure activities as a group of like minded people. We heard about Polo forest and decided to plan a 2 day program with a group of approx 50 people (all age) to Polo on 29th and 30th Nov, 2014.

I would appreciate if you could share the contact no. of Gujarat State Forest Department at Himmatnagar. Can you also share more details about the place owned by Maharaja Maharaj Vijay Wardhan Singh of Vijaynagar.

We prefer night stay in the forest if basic amenties and safety is available. We carry our own tents and sleeping bags and chef too.

We friends wish to go for a one day trip to polo forest from Ahmedabad using public transport. Since it will be on a festival day wanted to check if any special permission is required for the same from the forest department. Please share the relevant contact details.

Most probably we will have stay facility at Idar. If possible, please also provide your suggestions on how should one plan the commuting using public transport. (Ahmedabad-idar-polo and return)
